MAISON LADURÉE PARIS l TEAROOM
Making-Of Studio played a key role in the design, manufacture and logistics management of the furniture for Ladurée Paris. By working closely with the factories and ensuring meticulous management of the logistics, Making-Of Studio guaranteed the delivery of quality furniture, combining functionality and elegance, to create an exceptional experience for Ladurée’s customers.
Context
Ladurée Paris, the famous tea and patisserie house, decided to create a new tearoom on Place Victor Hugo in Paris. Over time, Ladurée realized that the existing furniture was not functional enough to meet the salon’s operational needs.
Challenge
Ladurée Paris called on Making-Of Studio to completely redesign the tea room furniture. The challenge was to design and manufacture furniture that was aesthetically pleasing, but above all functional, combining comfort and durability in harmony with Ladurée’s elegant, refined ambience.
Results
- Furniture optimization: The tables, originally fitted with marble legs, were not only aesthetically heavy, but also difficult to arrange. Making-Of Studio replaced the marble legs with wooden ones, offering both lightness and ease of handling.
- Compliance with safety standards: Having identified that the fabrics used on the benches did not comply with fire safety standards, Making-Of Studio proceeded to replace the fabrics, taking care to choose materials that complied with current standards, combining safety and aesthetics.

ULTRA-FUNCTIONAL HOTEL CABINET
A mix of practicality and ingenuity creating a modern furniture. This is the ambitious project we took on. This cabinet will facilitate the daily life of the staff as well as the customers.
Context
From a customer perspective:

- Design furniture that allows the client to easily store their belongings
- Create a piece of furniture that blends in perfectly with the room
From a staff perspective:
- Facilitate the cleaning of the rooms
- Minimize the time dedicated to the management of lost objects
- The layout of the cabinet allows for free movement
The challenge
- Design of a cabinet for several uses
- Reflection on the design of the furniture with the teams to facilitate their work and generate a gain in productivity
- To meet the customer’s needs as best as possible
Result
- The cabinet offers 360° visibility on the client’s personal belongings.
- This saves the guest the frustration of forgetting their belongings when leaving the room and avoids the hotel staff incurring shipping costs to send the forgotten item.

LE BAUDELAIRE – RESTAURANT OF THE BURGUNDY PARIS 5*.
When the actual writings of Baudelaire to his mother cover the carpet that adorns the restaurant, when literature is mixed with decoration and couture, this place dedicated to gastronomy remains a temple of chic and elegance.
A place where poetry meets interior design, Le Baudelaire embodies the refined spirit of Parisian art de vivre. Each design decision echoes the literary soul of the venue, creating an emotional and aesthetic experience for guests.
Context
- To propose a more modern and contemporary environment while keeping the original spirit
- Decorate the dining room and propose design furniture
- Designing furniture that facilitates the daily tasks of the staff
- A careful transformation was carried out to preserve the historical identity of the place while subtly shifting it towards a brighter, more open visual language. Each intervention was custom-designed to ensure stylistic continuity with the hotel’s overall ambiance.

- Keep the existing codes of the restaurant and the hotel
- Bringing in different elements and a real added value
- Design furniture that is ultra comfortable
- Combining comfort and elegance was at the heart of the project. The goal was not just to update the décor but to deepen the client’s sensory connection to the space through ergonomic, tailored furniture and rich, symbolic materials.
Results
- The idea is to bring elements of communication that can be used by the customer in connection with the place.
- Use of the writings of BAUDELAIRE to his mother to decorate the carpet of the restaurant.
- It was necessary for the maintenance a carpet not dirtying, consequently a carpet with reasons decorated with the colors of the armchairs punctuated of yellow underlining the signature of Baudelaire.
- Result: a chic, elegant and airy restaurant
This project demonstrates how design can serve storytelling, drawing a narrative thread between the literary heritage of Charles Baudelaire and the visual identity of the restaurant. The balance between functionality, symbolism, and timeless aesthetics contributes to the memorable atmosphere that clients experience the moment they enter.

PUY DU FOU – ILES DE CLOVIS
Restaurant & hotel (100 bedrooms)
Context
Furnishings and lighting for a hotel in a large park.
An ambitious project at the heart of an immersive environment, designed to immerse visitors in the authentic atmosphere of a village from the first millennium.
The challenge: to combine historical credibility, solidity of use and narrative aesthetics in a high-traffic area.
Challenge and results
We created the furnishings in accordance with Grand Parc’s specifications. Our work also focused on the large wrought-iron lighting fixtures in the restaurant and lobby.
The furniture was designed to blend in perfectly with the historical reconstruction, while meeting the reception standards of a modern hotel establishment.
Rough woods, handcrafted finishes and the deliberately rustic look of the pieces create total immersion, without compromising on durability or comfort.
The monumental, custom-made wrought-iron lighting fixtures reinforce the authenticity of the décor and contribute fully to the warm, spectacular ambience of the place.
This project illustrates our ability to translate a historical narrative into design language, while ensuring perfect functionality in a high-traffic context.

Designed to meet the high demands of the modern contract, marine and outdoor markets.
This emblematic model combines timeless elegance and technical robustness, offering comfortable seating that is identifiable at first glance, and perfectly suited to demanding environments.
The Médaillon Outdoor chair is inspired by the classic lines of the Louis XVI style, while adapting them to contemporary constraints: weather resistance, lightness, durability and personalization.
Designed for professionals in the hotel, restaurant and events sectors, it is a powerful piece of furniture, both decorative and functional.

SAINT-TROP FOLDING CHAIRS
Challenge
Development of a range of sturdy, multi-colored wrought-iron folding chairs to meet the needs of café and restaurant terraces.
The main objective was to design furniture that was robust, practical and aesthetically pleasing, capable of withstanding intensive outdoor use while offering great flexibility of use thanks to their foldability.
These chairs combine timeless charm and functional design, designed to adapt to the varied ambiances of outdoor dining areas.

RESIDENCE FOCH 3* – PARIS
Context
Design and manufacture of furniture for a 3* hotel in Paris.
This project was part of a drive to modernize the hotel’s image, while retaining the discreet elegance typical of independent Parisian hotels.
Located in a quiet, sought-after residential area, the Résidence Foch offers visitors an intimate interlude in the heart of the capital. The furniture had to embody this duality between refinement and accessibility.
Challenge
Making-Of Studio’s bedroom and lobby furniture.
The main challenge was to design rooms that were both compact and functional, capable of optimizing volumes while creating a warm and coherent atmosphere throughout the establishment.
For the bedrooms, we designed bespoke furniture: headboards with integrated reading lights, desks with concealed storage units, suspended bedside tables to free up floor space. Each element was designed to offer maximum comfort in minimum space, without compromising on aesthetics.
In communal areas, notably the lobby and lounges, we favored noble, durable materials such as solid wood, matt black metal and elegant furnishing textiles to create a welcoming, contemporary ambience conducive to relaxation.
Particular attention was paid to chromatic consistency and finishes, to ensure visual continuity between rooms and common areas.
All the furniture was manufactured in our workshops in France, with rigorous quality control and craftsmanship at every stage of the process.
This project illustrates our expertise in urban hotel projects, where bespoke design reveals the unique character of each location.

LE DEUN LUMINAIRES SHOWROOM PARIS
Challenge
Layout of a Parisian showroom of contemporary lighting and manufacture of furniture.
Furniture in Maple and Black India granite top.
The aim of the project was to create an elegant and functional showroom, capable of showcasing the diversity and modernity of the lighting collections while offering a fluid and immersive customer experience.
The furniture had to fit perfectly into this contemporary universe, with a clean design and noble materials, while remaining sturdy and adapted to intensive showroom use.

The choice of maple for the structure brings natural warmth and fine lines, while the Black India granite top lends a touch of sophistication and strength.
This combination of materials gives the furniture a perfect balance between elegance and functionality, meeting the aesthetic and practical requirements of the showroom.
Each piece has been custom-designed, with particular attention to detail, to accompany the lighting fixtures without ever distracting from them.
The layout was designed in collaboration with the sales teams to optimize customer flow, facilitate product demonstrations and create an inspiring atmosphere.

PUY DU FOU – VILLA GALLO-ROMAINE
Restaurant & hotel (100 bedrooms)
Contexte
Furniture design for a hotel in a major theme park.
This project is part of an immersive approach, aimed at recreating the atmosphere of an ancient Roman establishment while respecting the modern requirements of a hotel site.
The challenge was to design robust, functional and evocative rooms capable of withstanding heavy use while reinforcing the thematic coherence of the park.
Challenge and results
We created the furniture for the hotel’s 100 rooms (double bed and bunk bed in each room): desks, mirrors, coat racks in the shape of spears… But also the furniture for all the hotel’s indoor and outdoor restaurants (wrought-iron chairs and tables hammered with specially designed brass ornaments).
Each element has been designed to evoke the Gallo-Roman era, while meeting today’s standards of comfort and safety.
Room furnishings echo the symbolic codes of Antiquity, notably in their simple geometric shapes, patinated textures and references to military and civic objects.
Metalwork, particularly wrought iron and brass, was custom-made to ensure aesthetic coherence down to the smallest detail. Decorative ornaments, inspired by Roman motifs, give character to the rooms while reinforcing the identity of the place.
The general layout of the rooms, restaurants and corridors was designed to enhance the visitor’s immersion in a historical world that has been faithfully recreated.
This project demonstrates our ability to combine scenography, craftsmanship and hotel operating constraints. It also illustrates our commitment to creating coherent, narrative and enduring universes, in the service of a rich and memorable customer experience.

LE GRAND BARAIL 5* – TERRASSE – SAINT-ÉMILION
Context
Installation of the establishment’s outdoor terrace.
An exceptional location with a breathtaking view over the vineyards, where the elegance of the architecture meets the serenity of a landscape that is emblematic of Saint-Émilion.
The project involved the creation of an open-air space, in harmony with the soul of the place and the high standards of the five-star establishment.
ALUMINIUM OUTDOOR MEDALLION CHAIR
Challenge and results
We proposed the MEDAILLON OUTDOOR MAKING-OF range in aluminum and developed a specific table with marble chosen especially for the environment.
The furniture has been designed to combine classic elegance and resistance to outdoor conditions, with meticulous finishes and top-of-the-range materials.
The medallion chairs, revisited in an outdoor aluminum version, offer a nod to the Louis XVI style while guaranteeing comfort and lightness.
As for the central table, its precisely selected marble top subtly dialogues with the natural hues of the site, adding a touch of mineral refinement.
The result is a terrace with a refined, functional and durable aesthetic, perfectly integrated into the estate’s natural environment.
This project reflects a clear desire to enhance the outdoor customer experience while respecting the identity of the site.
Each piece of furniture is part of an elegant, soothing scenography, designed to extend the luxury of the interior into the landscaped areas.
The fluid, structured layout encourages conviviality and contemplation, in a refined setting in perfect harmony with the surrounding winegrowing tradition.
