THE FONTAINE GAILLON PARIS RESTAURANT

Context

  • Complete renovation of Gérard Depardieu’s former restaurant.
  • This iconic venue has been completely redesigned, now offering a vast ground-floor dining room with a large terrace overlooking the fountain.
  • Upstairs, several small, intimate lounges invite you to enjoy cosy, exclusive moments.

The challenge

  • The challenge for this project was to transform the architect’s concepts into furniture that was aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and ergonomic, in order to provide customers with an optimal seating experience.

  • This involved designing bespoke, fully adjustable tables with lion-shaped legs specially created for this project.

  • The design of the seats, which was particularly complex, also represented a real challenge, both in terms of design and upholstery. Each seat was meticulously crafted with a variety of details and distinct fabrics, both front and back, requiring special attention at every stage of manufacture.

Results

  • Comfortable seats have been designed for the restaurant, offering optimum support and allowing customers to enjoy their meal with ease.

  • Hand-crafted caning blends harmoniously with steam-curved wooden armrests, adding an elegant, artisanal touch.

  • In the smaller lounges, the seating has been designed to reflect the unique atmosphere of each space, while maintaining exceptional comfort.

  • The tables, entirely bespoke and modular, feature hand-carved wooden legs to serve as molds, then crafted in patinated brass.

  • The restaurant combines chic and comfort, with durable furniture that ensures both style and longevity.
