HOTEL CASTELBRAC 5* – RESTAURANT “POURQUOI PAS” // DINARD
Context
Design and production of tables for a gourmet restaurant in a 5* hotel.
The aim of this project was to harmonize furniture and interior architecture to enhance the culinary experience in an exceptional setting.
The aim was to design elegant, robust tables that would blend in perfectly with the establishment’s strong, refined visual identity.
Challenge
The idea was to integrate the tables into an existing décor. We wanted to propose a black granite (black india) with an oak undershelf that echoed the material of the floor. We also proposed a brass base in keeping with the hotel’s codes.
The marriage of materials – the deep black of granite, the warmth of natural oak and the subtle shine of brass – creates a sophisticated visual balance, evoking both modernity and tradition.
The bespoke design optimized the proportions and ergonomics of the tables, guaranteeing optimum comfort for guests while respecting the overall aesthetic of the venue.
Adapting tables designed by Patrick Juliot to the Castelbrac environment. This is reflected in the choice of materials: gold legs and oak underplates like the restaurant’s parquet floor, and deep black India granite.
Drawing on the dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity, the architectural inspiration translates into a controlled elegance in which every detail finds its rightful place.
This project is a perfect illustration of the close collaboration between design, craftsmanship and contextual sensitivity, essential for enhancing an emblematic place like Castelbrac.
