A Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant whose surroundings were dark, noisy and unwelcoming. The rudimentary furniture posed a problem for a renowned restaurant.
Interior architecture and decoration of the restaurant with designer furniture.
Challenge
In addition to making the restaurant attractive, we had to take into account its own operating, maintenance, solidity and functional constraints.
The aim was to bring light, color and warmth to the space. We had to work on a more feminine, softer ambience for the environment.
Result
The restaurant is bright and colorful, and the specially developed, custom-designed seating is extremely comfortable.
In fact, the restaurant manager has noted that, since the room’s new configuration, the amount of time his customers spend at table has increased significantly.
The table tops were specially designed for the hotel (a mix of black Galaxy granite and wood for a balanced feel). Galaxy granite is very solid, and relatively easy to maintain. Glittered with gold, the granite sparkles discreetly to bring originality and elegance to the restaurant.
A choice and mix of various contemporary fabrics was chosen specifically to stay in the spirit of the hotel (collaboration with F.Morel).
In collaboration with the Restaurant Manager, and with the aim of speeding up customer service, we designed and manufactured functional and appropriate technical furniture.
Introducing more sun, warmth and light in all its forms, increasing comfort, joy, cheerfulness and elegance.
A mix of hard and soft (granite and maple), cold and warm materials to balance the masculine/feminine side.
Use of Galaxy Granite (incorporating gold flakes) for its sturdiness, its non-ostentatious light effect, a robust material and perfect for maintenance in a restaurant setting.
An artistic environment in the hotel prompted us to commission an artist to create original works for the restaurant.
A play on materials – a mix of coordinated fabrics – carpets with suggestive patterns.
The creation of cocoons that translate into almost individual environments with coach sofas and high-backed armchairs where everyone can almost hide.
A mix of materials and fabrics in the spirit of the hotel.

The inspiration
of the architect
When designing the restaurant, we worked with the catering manager and the staff to develop technical furniture that would save time and make organization easier, while enhancing customer service and aesthetics. We developed a piece of furniture that takes into account all constraints and needs (location of French and English menus, cutlery storage, etc.).
